Our Services

L & A Professional Services, LLC, founded by Dr. Lisa A. Wines, is your trusted partner for mental health therapy services and school district leadership training. We provide a wide array of services from consulting, capacity building, research development, professional speaking, and growing young professionals in the field . We are deeply committed to helping our patients and partners reach their full potential. We work within the state of Texas guidelines and adhere to the highest standards for patient advancement and counselor development. We offer comprehensive support for school districts’ administration, counseling departments, and university counseling centers.

Intern Programs

L & A Professional Services, LLC is dedicated to nurturing the upcoming generation of mental health professionals, supplementing gaps often present in university counseling programs. Specifically, we are a training facility of interns and associates, where patients find that their plans of care and treatment are enhanced, along with their therapeutic team being appropriately diverse. Our commitment extends to mentorship, training, and development of licensed professional counselor associates and graduate-level interns, regardless of their experience level.

Dr. Wines has developed a three-tiered Hands-of-Grace intern program training program to gain hans-on experience and mentorship. Additionally, we offer our patients options through our Mental Health Awareness Program (MHAP) and Pro-Bono Programs. We prioritize a treatment-team approach and continuity of care through medical providers, all while teaching interns Dr. Wines´s model for the process of therapy, titled An Escalation of Therapeutic Services.

Dr. Wines has created checklists, titled LAPS Lucky 7 and LAPS Great 8. These checklists provide vision and set expectations for what interns are to learn under Dr. Wines’ direction. In many cases, we move beyond the university’s requirements- placing us far ahead of our competitors in counselor development!

Pro Bono Program

In alignment with the ACA Codes of Ethics (2014), periodically we  provide pro-bono services. Screenings must occur, with eligibility based on the Federal Poverty Levels (FPLs).
